In days of old when knights were bold, an armoire was a cabinet used to store the knights suits of armor (From the French, armoir). Very popular in modern times, an armoire can be used to store hanging clothes or can even perform duties as an television cabinet or entertainment center.

An Armoire is a beautiful and decorative peice of furniture used to give substance and balance to a room. Usually a tall and massive piece of furniture, armoires do come in all sizes. Smaller armoires can be used to store jewelry and are called jewelry armoires.

An armoire adds a certain old-world charm and style to the room where it is placed. Often, armoires are built as reproductions of classic antiques, using hardwoods, hand-carved accents and large clawed feet. More modern styles may take on a mission look, simple and clean in design.
