Great buy on this traditional design cherry Ridgeway grandfather clock. This clock offers strong value - loads of features at an affordable price. This traditional design grandfather clock features a sophisticated broken swan neck pediment with a fully turned finial. The cabinet has a Glen Arbor cherry finish over select hardwoods and veneers and two full length reeded columns with upper and lower turned capitols.
The decorative silver and brass dial has raised Arabic numerals, embossed center and corner design spandrels and a pierced stationary lunar dial that gives the impression of twinkling stars from the lighted interior cabinet. The dial's motif is carried through to matching brass weights shells, complemented by a lyre pendulum with a 8 5/8" decorative center disk. The look and feel of a mechanical swinging pendulum is made possible with the quartz driven movement, which requires no weekly winding. An elegant burl panel is seen behind the cables and weight shells. The dual chime movement plays a soothing Westminster or Ave Maria chime and features an automatic night shut off option and volume control. The cabinet comes with a locking front door, front and side glass panels, and, as with all fine Ridgeway pieces, leveling legs for uneven floors and a free brass engraved nameplate come with each piece.
