This cherry traditional broken pediment grandfather is loaded with features and a great value. The "Martinsville" grandfather clock features a graceful swan neck broken pediment with a fully turned, hand-carved finial, decorative shell overlay and matching raised burl overlays. Rich Glen Arbory cherry finish over select hardwoods and veneers and reeded posts adorn the cabinet. Turned capitol's elegantly frame the clock dial and a detailed embossed molding runs along the bottom of the front locking door. A fancy burl image on the back panel is further highlighted by the lighted interior cabinet and can be viewed from the front beveled glass door and glass side panels.

The brass and silver decorative dial has a decorative embossed center and corner designs. The functioning moon dial is pierced to give the illusion of twinkling stars from the interior lighted cabinet. The dial has raised Arabic numerals, and matching banded weight shells and pendulum. The dial's decorative motif is carried through to the brass German cable drive movement, which is complemented by a matching lyre pendulum with a 10 5/8" decorative disk with embossed center. The movement plays the soothing Westminster, St. Micheal's or Whittington chimes and features a automatic night shut-off feature. As with all fine, heirloom quality Ridgeway pieces, the cabinet offers leveling legs for carpet or uneven floors and a free brass engraved nameplate.
