This impressive Ridgeway grandfather clock has a Glen Arbor cherry finish on select hardwoods and veneers. The large reeded posts have decorative top caps that gracefully frame the clock face. The cabinet features a locking front door with molding around the base as a final touch. Two lower side glass panels allow viewing of the beautiful polished brass weights and pendulum from any angle. The center of the silver and brass dial offers a decorative center, and has a functioning astological lunar calendar. The clock face and dial features raised Arabic numerals, a pierced corner spandrel design, and is framed with raised castings.
The design of the dial is carried through to the polished brass weights which hang from the chain driven West German mechanism. The brass lyre pendulum features a 8 5/8" disk with a silver decorative center. The chime plays the soothing Westminster chime and features an auto night silence option.
