Inspect the construction of this clock - as many as 5 structural cross members across the base and top making this case one of the most stable in the industry! This traditional bonnet top Lexington Ridgeway grandfather clock is an impressive work of art, featuring a beautifully stepped design on the softly arched bonnet, a light treasure oak finish perfect for today's natural wood decors, and reeded pilasters with an individually carved leaf design between the mid and top caps. Hand carved base caps, hardwood cabinet and beveled glass locking front door are included, as well as leveling legs for uneven floors or carpet. The polished brass dial has an impressive raised brass design that outline the corner and center design along with a remote second hand. The clock face features raised Arabic numerals and a functioning lunar calendar.
Polished brass weights hang from the cable driven West German mechanism and the brass rod lyre pendulum features a 10 5/8" disk. The triple chime movement plays Westminster, Whittington or St. Michaels chimes and features an auto night silence option. As with all heirloom quality Ridgeway clocks, a free brass engraved nameplate comes with the piece.
