This traditional bonnet top Van Ness grandfather clock is an impressive work of art. The light treasure oak finish is perfect for today's natural wood decors. The multi-tiered base features carved designs on the corners and book matched olive burl overlays. Frosted glass bottom door further softens the look of this impressive design. The polished brass clock face and dial features raised Arabic numerals, a crystal glass center design and etched corner spandrels. The dial has a moving moon dial with etched stars so that a mounted light reflects through the stars and center crystal of the dial.

Polished brass weights hang from the cable driven West German mechanism and the brass rod lyre pendulum features a 10 5/8 disk with a 24% lead crystal center insert. The back of the case is mirrored and an additional light is mounted in the bottom of the case to reflect the pendulum. Both bottom and top doors lock and bottom door has a serpentine design. The upper locking door has beveled glass and the clock movement is accessed from the two side panels. The triple chime movement plays Westminster, Whittington or St. Michaels chimes and features an auto night silence option. Free brass engraved nameplate comes with the piece.
